  The recently hot topic Bathynomus giganteus belongs to Arthropoda and is considered a part of the same group as shrimp, crabs, and insects. There are at least 1,900 species of edible insects worldwide. In countries like Thailand, Myanmar, and Cambodia, are common to see fried insects include crickets, tarantulas, grasshoppers, bamboo worms, turtles, beetles, and silkworm pupae, frogs can also be fried. In Thailand, some people even turn insects into cookies and sell them in packages. Insects have rich protein and are considered popular food among the general population in Thailand.

  In Jiaxian District, Kaohsiung City in Taiwan, insect delicacies such as fried crickets and bee larvae can also be found. This occasion provides an opportunity to draw attention to marine ecosystem conservation, reevaluate bottom trawling fisheries, establish reasonable regulations to protect the marine ecosystem.
